From your shop's counter to large companies' equipment

Today we work with large cash-in-transit companies in Chile, providing preventive and corrective maintenance for their banknote processing equipment. We also repair a single counter in a shop or small business, and the equipment of cash centers and companies that count cash every day. We work on site or at our workshop in Santiago, with service technicians nationwide.

Machines we repair

Banknote sorters

They separate banknotes by denomination and, depending on the model, also by orientation or fitness, and send them to different pockets. They have more sensors and moving parts than a counter, so a misadjustment quickly shows up as rejects.

Banknote counting machines

They count bundles and, on many models, add up the value and set aside suspect notes. They are used daily in shops, teller stations and cash centers, and their most common faults come from built-up dust, worn rollers or dirty sensors.

Coin counters

We also repair and service coin counters, the machines that count change at tellers and shops.

All brands

We are a multi-brand service provider: we repair Glory, Scan Coin, Toshiba, SNBC, Magner, Cassida, Kisan and other brands equipment. If your brand is not listed, tell us which one it is and the model.

We also support the deposit machines, recyclers and other equipment we integrate in cash centers and branches. More details in cash management.

Preventive maintenance

A sorter or a counter rarely fails all at once. First it starts to miscount, reject good notes or jam more often. A preventive visit looks for those signs before the machine stops in the middle of the working day.

The frequency depends on how much cash each machine processes and on the manufacturer's recommendations. We set it with you based on your operation.

What we check in a preventive visit

Cleaning
Dust, paper fibers and debris built up in the note path and on the sensors.
Wear
Feed rollers, belts and transport parts, which lose grip with use.
Calibration
Sensor readings and adjustments following the manufacturer's procedure.
Testing
Counting and sorting with banknotes to confirm the machine balances and does not over-reject.
Recommendation
The parts that should be replaced before they fail.

Banknote counter and sorter repair

When the machine has already failed, we carry out corrective maintenance: we diagnose it, repair it or replace the damaged parts, and test it with banknotes before returning it to service. These are the faults we repair most often:

Jams and folded notes

Usually caused by worn rollers, misaligned guides or debris trapped in the note path.

Counts that do not balance

Double or skipped notes, usually due to feed wear or a dirty sensor.

Good notes rejected

The machine sets aside valid notes as suspect or unfit. The sensors and their calibration need to be checked.

Error codes on the display

Each manufacturer uses its own codes. With the code and the machine model we can start the diagnosis.

When a machine does not do what you need, we adapt it

The original display of a banknote counter reset the piece count and amount when it reached 10,000 pieces. Through reverse engineering we developed an external display, the UWF-VISORPRO, that shows the cumulative piece count and amount without resets. If a machine in your operation has a similar problem, we can look into it.

Banknote counter service FAQ

Can't find your question? Write to us and a specialist from the area will reply.

Do you repair banknote counters in Santiago and other regions?
Yes. We repair at our workshop in Santiago or on site, where the machine is installed, and we have service technicians nationwide to handle equipment outside Santiago. When we quote, we propose the option that best fits your case.
Do you repair a single counter for a shop or small business?
Yes. We repair everything from a single counter in a shop or small business to the equipment of large companies. Tell us the brand, model and fault, and we will quote the repair at our workshop or on site.
Do you repair banknote counters of any brand?
Yes. We are a multi-brand service provider: we repair Glory, Scan Coin, Toshiba, SNBC, Magner, Cassida, Kisan and other brands equipment. We are SNBC distributors in Chile. Glory, Scan Coin, Toshiba, Magner, Cassida and Kisan are trademarks of their respective owners; Mundos Virtuales is not an official representative or distributor of these brands and names them only to indicate which equipment we service.
Do you also repair coin counters?
Yes. In addition to banknote counters and sorters, we repair and service coin counters of different brands, at our workshop or on site.
What does preventive maintenance of a banknote sorter include?
Cleaning the note path and sensors, checking roller and belt wear, calibration following the manufacturer's procedure and a test run with banknotes to confirm the machine counts correctly. Afterwards we tell you which parts should be replaced.
How often should a banknote counter be serviced?
It depends on the volume it processes and the manufacturer's recommendations. A machine that runs all day needs more frequent visits than one used occasionally. We set the frequency with you based on your operation.
How do you calibrate a banknote counter?
Many models have an adjustment mode in the menu, and the manufacturer's manual explains the procedure. If it still miscounts or rejects good notes after cleaning and adjustment, there is most likely wear or a damaged sensor, and a technical inspection is advisable.
My banknote counter shows an error code. What should I do?
Write down the code and the model, switch the machine off and check that no notes or debris are stuck in the note path. If the error returns when you switch it on, call us at +56 2 2634 0001 or write to us with those details: the code and model are where we start the diagnosis.
Does the repair include spare parts?
The service includes spare parts. Availability depends on the brand and model of the machine, and we confirm it when we quote.
What information do you need to quote a repair?
The type of machine (banknote counter, coin counter or sorter), the brand and model, how many machines there are, where they are installed, what fault they show and whether you prefer a workshop or on-site repair. If the machine shows an error code, include it.
